When a milk truck and two other vehicles are involved in an accident, the outcome can be devastating. This proved true recently on the streets of New York after an SUV caused a multi-vehicle car accident. Six people required medical attention.
The accident occurred on a Monday morning. An SUV carrying six people, including three children, hit the front end of another vehicle that had pulled into an intersection. The SUV then hit a tractor trailer that was delivering milk. The deliveryman heard the commotion coming toward him and was able to jump out of the way.
Even though the truck driver escaped injury, others were not so lucky. Two victims suffered injuries described as life threatening. They were taken for treatment to a nearby medical facility. Three other victims had injuries reported to be serious and were also transported to the same medical facility. It is unclear which vehicles the injured parties were in at the time of the accident.
Once an investigation clarifies exactly what happened, the injured parties may have recourse in a New York civil court.
