Mr. Mionis was born and raised in New York City. He has lived on Long Island for over twenty years making a home with his loving wife. Early in his career Mr. Mionis worked on behalf of the insurance companies defending negligence actions. However, he soon realized that he wanted to help people not multi-billion dollar corporations shirk their responsibilities. Regarding the tactics employed by the insurance companies to deny claims and delay litigation, Mr. Mionis said; “I just couldn’t be a part of that anymore and look at myself in the mirror.”, further adding “My parents raised me to do the right thing. To help people in need, not to do harm.” In 1998 he devoted his practice to representing the wrongfully injured. This gives Mr. Mionis valuable insight into the inner workings of how insurance companies evaluate and defend his clients’ cases. Since then, Mr. Mionis has helped countless people who have been the victim of negligence, medical malpractice, or wrongful death go on with their lives with some measure of comfort, dignity and sense of vindication.
